Swim with your dog and raise money for animal rescue and spay/neuter

Metroplex Animal Coalition, an alliance of more than 50 nonprofit animal welfare-organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex is hosting Wags and Waves 2009, a fun day of swimming with your dog to help raise money for spay/neuter programs and animal rescue groups.  Wags & Waves will take place Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Hawaiian Falls Water Park in Garland.  Wade, swim, and splash the day away, check out the vendors, enter the contest to find the cleverest canine, watch the rescue parade or a get a low-cost microchip.  CBS 11's J.D. Miles will be the emcee and Larry Powell is the host.

Tickets are $ 20 per person which includes up to two dogs and can be purchased online from the Metroplex Animal Coalition website.  Register early and get a free t-shirt!
