Paws of Texas Rescue is having a fundraiser and adoption event January 28 & 29 at Firewater Grill on Overlook Parkway 1 – 5
$15 entry fee for adults: food, an alcoholic beverage, a goodie bag, and a free raffle ticket. $10 for children: food and a children's drink. If you have not been out to this new restaurant off Canyon Golf, now is a great time to drop by and support this local rescue.
The 28th will feature a reunion between the only two surviving pups from Rigsby's litter. Rigsby was a pit bull found dumped and chained to the door of a shop. She gave birth while restrained and Paws of Texas Rescue was one of the organizations that came to her aid.
Raffle is held every hour. In addition there will be a woman selling beautiful jewelry and our adoptable lovable pooches.
Meet (and adopt) Amber! She is one of over 30 Basset Hounds that were rescued from a puppy mill in south Texas. This sweet, docile little girl hasn't known much of a life other than breeding and has received little attention from humans in her lifetime. Amber is a precious girl that can be a little timid at first but loves to be rubbed and petted. Amber gets along great with other dogs and children. She loves walks and a nice bone to chew on when she gets bored.

The San Antonio Rampage are encouraging fans to bring their dog to the gameas they attempt to set the World Record for most dogs at a sporting. Tickets are $20 for you and your dog. $5 from every dog ticket sold will be donated to Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare (AAPAW). All dogs must be on a leash (one dog per person), accompanied by an adult
