As you can see from the many events listed below, we have a very active rescue community in San Antonio working to find families for the animals in their care. You cannot help but be impressed by the many volunteers who give up their weekends in the hope that someone will walk by a pair of brown eyes and fall in love.
This is the first of three 2-day indoor adoption events at the empty store next to Pet Supplies Plus at Brookhollow/281. These events will be on the last weekend of each month - Sat-Sun, Jan 28-29, Feb 25-26 and Mar 31-Apr1. AAPAW Mega Adoption events have found homes for over 3200 pets, with almost 1000 in 2011!
AAPAW - Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare - is a coalition of animal welfare organizations, veterinarians and the community in support of the City of San Antonio's strategic plan to become a No Kill city.

Paws of Texas Rescue is having a fundraiser and adoption event January 28 & 29 at Firewater Grillon Overlook Parkway 1 – 5
$15 entry fee for adults: food, an alcoholic beverage, a goodie bag, and a free raffle ticket. $10 for children: food and a children's drink. If you have not been out to this new restaurant off Canyon Golf, now is a great time to drop by and support this local rescue.
