The NFL announced yesterday during halftime of the Oakland Raiders/Dallas Cowboys game that legendary band the Who will perform in the Super Bowl XLIV halftime show at Dolphin Stadium in Miami on Sunday, February 7, 2010. The two remaining original members of the band, Roger Daltry, and guitarist Pete Townshend will be performing.
The Who join an esteemed list of recent halftime show acts including Tom Petty, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney. To commemorate this epic event, The Who are offering an Official Superbowl t-shirt for a very reasonable $24.95. The artwork on the front comes from The Who's classic 1974 Sods and Odds album, along with the Who's signature target logo.
