Whether you loved Adam's debut performance of his single "For Your Entertainment" at the American Music Awards Sunday night or hated it, one thing's for certain--it's got everyone talking--and ABC panicking. After millions of viewers saw Lambert simulate oral sex with a back-up dancer, engage in a passionate kiss with his male keyboard player and grab at the crotch of a female dancer, just to name a few of the antics in the AMA's closing act, many people are in an uproar.
Adam was one of the top 10 most popular topics on Twitter on Monday. There are also reports that ABC television received about 1,500 complaints about the sexually-charged performance, though it's not clear whether they will be fined for the daring behavior.
And in apparent concern that there will be a repeat performance, Adam's concert scheduled for Good Morning America on November 25 has been canceled.
An ABC News spokesperson commented, “Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.”
An email also went out to fans stating: “The Adam Lambert Concert on Good Morning America at the Hudson Theatre has been officially cancelled. It is not necessary to come to the theatre because it will be closed. Thank you for your interest in the show and Adam Lambert.”
But on Adam's website, the latest news reports ""Adam Lambert will be performing on CBS's The Early Show tomorrow morning. Adam will be doing a special meet and greet in the plaza outside the studio following his indoor performance so fans are encouraged to gather at 59th and 5th." In addition, he's scheduled for an appearance on David Letterman's Late Show tomorrow night, set to sing another single from the album, "Whadya Want From Me".
And I'm sure if David interviews him first, it will be quite an interesting segment that will certainly address the AMA spectacle.
What's really confusing is that Barbara Walters tweeted earlier this morning that she just finished interviewing Adam...so apparently ABC isn't totally shunning him. Hmmmm. Adam's fans are in a bit of a tizzy over this, according to the comments flying in the forums area of his website.

I am not one fan that would not watch everything about Adam...He did just what a lot of rocker and singers have done on Award shows before...at least he didn't lip sync...No, it was not to outrageous,.......he is great
i agree with peggy there is a double standard going on too bad that adam is not established well enough that these tv shows will ignore what had happened at AMA.

What's good for Britney and Madonna should be fine wigth Adam. It would be highly sexist to say two women can kiss on AMA, but not two men. I love Adam. I didn't like the performance, though, and I think AMA put him up to it. That's just my opinion!
I just watched the video and it was cool, but I wonder why Adam is promoting himself as a bi-sexual now??? I don't get it.
