Charles E. Smith, Jr. has loved sports virtually his entire life. Born in Los Angeles, he has played and/or coached ice hockey since 1975. Charles was an L.A. Kings season ticket holder prior to becoming part of the media. He created the TV sports talk show 'INSIDE SPORTS' in 1994 - the show continues to this day, and has since morphed into a webcast on Ustream.TV , Blip.tv, and on DoubleGTV.com. The main hub for INSIDE SPORTS is the website Officialinsidesports.com, where the motto is "Changing the World, One Sport at a Time". Charles also wrote a weekly sports column for the San Gabriel Valley Examiner from 2004-2006, and was on-air TV analyst for the ECHL's Long Beach Ice Dogs (now The Ontario Reign) from 2005-2007.
