Due to an overwhelmingly popular response to my Disney podcast article, I was advised by many readers to download a few episodes of Netcot.

For a guy who claims to be “just some dude whose wife agreed that he could carve out a room and record a podcast each week” Van, the show’s host, takes a witty, sarcastic, and hilariously professional approach to visiting the Disney parks.  He’s coined several terms, and there are even Netcot t-shirts that display phrases that were made infamous during his podcasts. ie: “What time until the 3:00 parade?” and “I bring my own character to breakfast”.  Apparently, this has been an inside joke with Van’s listeners for nearly three years.

Van’s podcasts include a healthy dose of facts and news updates, with some trivia (This Week in Disney History). The second half of the podcast (about 20 min) is just “random Disney music”, the kind of music that you hear throughout the park while you’re waiting for a parade to come or when you’re close to getting on a ride.

I’m definitely grateful for this heads up from my readers and subscribers.  I can see why Van is so popular and now, when I’m at the park, I’ll know what all these “Netcot” shirts are for.  Thanks for keeping me posted, LA. Rock on.
