Amber Alert update: Aja Johnson reward at $20,000, new photos released (videos, photos)
Aja Johnson was reported abducted on January 24, 2010 by her mother’s estranged husband, Lester Hobbs. (Click here for back stories). It has been more than one week and an Amber Alert continues in the state of Oklahoma for Aja Johnson and Lester Hobbs. Lester has also been charged with the first degree murder of Aja’s mother, Tonya Hobbs. There is a felony warrant on Lester Hobbs for first degree murder and the kidnapping of Aja Johnson.
On January 27, 2010, new photos of Lester Hobbs, his car, and Tonya Hobbs were released. The photos came from surveillance video from a Lawton, Oklahoma Wal-Mart and it is believed that the two were in the store just hours before Tonya was murdered.
Jessica Brown from the Oklahoma State Bureau of investigation said, “These new pictures show the suspect car that is now missing as well as what the suspect, Lester Hobbs, looks like and the clothes he may be wearing now.”
The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Lester Hobbs has been increased from $10,000 to $20,000. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has contributed $10,000 and the U.S. Marshal’s Service has matched the amount.
