Amber Alert: 2-year-old Aveion Malik Lewis abducted in Virginia

(Police accidentally sent out a message stating this Amber Alert was canceled, it is not.  The Amber Alert for Aveion Malik Lewis is ACTIVE)


An Amber Alert has been issued in Virginia for 2-year-old Aveion Malik Lewis. Aveion is a black male, he was born on January 26, 2007. He stands 2’6” and weighs 26 pounds. His hair is cut close to his head and is black; he has brown eyes. Aveion was abducted by three men after they broke into his home.

On January 14, 2010, between 4:40 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., three men broke into Aveion Lewis’ residence at 2162 King Charles Avenue SE in Roanoke, Virginia. The men knocked Aveion’s father unconscious before fleeing with the child. Aveion was last seen wearing a yellow Sponge Bob Squarepants footie pajamas.

There are currently no photos available of the three suspects. The first suspect’s first name is believed to be ‘Tony.’ He is described as a black male standing 6’2”. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie shirt, a black puffy collar jacket, and a black du rag. He is described as having a dark, black complexion, full beard and a stocky build and is believed to be in his late twenties. It is unclear whether the suspects are armed.

The second suspect is a light-skinned black male described as standing 5’11”. His hair is in dreadlocks and he was last seen wearing a red baseball cap. He is in his late twenties and is said to have a muscular upper body.

The third suspect is a light-skinned black male who stands 5’11” and has no facial hair. He was wearing a brown hat with white writing on it  and is said to be either 23 or 24 years old.

Reports say that the suspects were seen hanging around the residence after the stepfather told them to leave. A note was left at the residence demanding money.
The suspects may be travelling with Aveion Lewis in a white 90’s Blazer Chevy.
