11 year old girl Alexis Cartwright endangered missing
An endangered missing alert has been issued for an 11 year old girl, Alexis Cartwright, by the Virginia State Police. Alexis Cartwright is under the state of North Carolina’s custody. Due to medical needs, the state of North Carolina placed her in the Cumberland Hospital, located in New Kent County, Virginia. While in the hospital, her father, Lemuel Cartwright came to visit his daugheter. He removed Alexis from the hospital on Sunday, January 3, 2009, without the approval of the hospital or the North Carolina Social Services' Department. She is believed to be in danger.
Lemuel Cartwright is 55 years old and stands 6’7” tall. He has brown hair and brown eyes and is a white male. He is believed to be driving a blue 1993 Dodge Ram pickup truck with North Carolina license plates: XYZ-8450.
Alexis Cartwright stands 5’3 inches and weighs 137 pounds. She has sandy blonde hair and blue eyes. Alexis was last seen wearing a blue Aeropostale coat with a yellow/green shirt and blue jeans. The pair may be headed to Bath, North Carolina. Alexis is an insulin dependent diabetic and requires medication twice a day.

I hate when kids are missing.
Lemuel is also insulin dependant, so this will not be particularly helpful in finding the pair in the short term as he is likely to have a supply. He is not heading to Bath. He is heading South, having already passed through South Carolina.
