The Sunrise Century in Boulder, Colorado did not experience the 'civil disobedience' as covered in an earlier post. According to Colorado State Trooper Mark Bannister, there were no reported incidents .
Last month, an unsigned flier was placed in resident's mailboxes, advising them of disturbances planned for the bicycle tour in an effort to highlight "motorists rights." Some drivers felt their safety was threatened by numbers of slow-moving cyclists on narrow roads, and objected to the idea of slowing down in order to pass those cyclists safely.
