Against resistance from county regulators the memorial weekend marijuana festival will go on, permit or not. Negotiations with Tehama county officials have been going on since March to our community such an event. Bringing back déjà vu of a Woodcock era in a hayfield similar to ours here in Tehama county. The expo will be a three day event taking place in Red Bluff on Riverside Avenue.
Hemp Festival – A fun event for all
Donna Will, a medical marijuana advocate and patient user, is expecting a big crowd to the World Hemp Expo Extravagnja with an estimated eighteen hundred people in attendance daily. This festival will be enjoyable for all, activities include: live music, belly dancing, food, and of course marijuana.It will bring needed revenue to our community. Musician names have been with held, because of attracting too large a crowd, there could be some name notables available. No alcohol beverages are permitted on the site during the event. Everyone has to be adults to insure a fun time.
There is already protest over the even in Tehama county, and there likely be high security in effect. Everyone wants to make this a fun event without violence and anger; and to make known the real meaning of this plant and how it helps, and affects the community of users who have to use it as an alternative medicine.
Memorial Day 2010 Hemp Expo Festival
Medical marijuana is being used for a multitude of health diseases and conditions including cancer and aids. It is hoped that the effects of the hemp festival will make less tension over medical marijuana usage. It will make people more understanding as a community on growing medical marijuana, hopefully with fewer restrictions imposed on those that use it; or the dispensaries that collect and sell it for medical use.
One of the biggest Hemp festivals was the Seattle hemp fest with 150, 00 -200, 00 people a day. Here in California the THC 2009 in Las Angeles was held attracting close to 35, 00 people a day, our Hemp Expo Festival here in Red Bluff this Memorial Day weekend will be small in comparison.
