Christian Filmmakers Camp slated for August

The Rocky Mountain Christian Filmmakers Camp will be holding its second session of the summer from August 7 - 13 at the Norwood Christian Ranch in Norwood. Aspiring filmmakers will be able to learn hands-on movie making skills from three-time Emmy wininer Norton Rodriguez. Registration is limited to the twelve, so students will have the opportunity to learn in a small group setting.All interested students from ages 14 to adult are encouraged to register, with the first twelve being accepted. According to Chris Lawrence, one of the Ranch owners, the Filmmakers Camp draws applicants from all over the country.  In addition to individuals, she said that there have also been father/son and mother/son pairs participating,

The Filmmakers Camp is dedicated to promoting professionalism in Christian moviemaking. Some of the many topics covered include:

Students will become familiar with the use of jibs, dollies, lights and audio recording equipment. Since Mr. Rodriguez received his Emmy awards in film production, editing and animation,  the many technical aspects of filmmaking will be well covered. By the end of the camp, students will have produced their own movie short.
