Sarah Michelle Gellar, former AMC star, gives birth

Sarah Michelle Gellar Prinze and husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., announced the birth of their daughter, Charlotte Grace on September 19, 2009. The happy couple are thrilled to have become parents.

Gellar, best known for her role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, portrayed Kendall Hart, illigitimate daughter of Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) back in 1993. Gellar's Hart, a bitter, vindictive child set out to seduce her mother's husband, Dmitri Marick (Michael Nader) and succeeded in destroying the Kane/Marick marriage. For her vicious portrayal, Gellar garnered an Emmy nomination.

Aside from her outstanding work in All My Children, Gellar appeared in several other television shows, including Guiding Light and Spenser for Hire. She also played the young Jackie Kennedy in a mini-series called A Woman Named Jackie, before moving on to her role as Kendall Hart.
