Alexander Skarsgård fans are going to have to wait six months longer before they are able to watch his recently anticipated film, Straw Dogs.  Originally set to release on February 25, 2011, it is now scheduled to hit theaters on September 16, 2011

Filmed in Shreveport, LA, Straw Dogs is a remake of the 1971 film of the same title directed by Sam Peckinpah.  The original stars Dustin Hoffman, Susan George, and Del Henney as Charlie, which is the role Alexander plays in the modern version.

The synopsis for the current film is about a Los Angeles screenwriter, David Sumner (James Marsden) that moves with his wife (Kate Bosworth) to her hometown in the Deep South. Once there, their marriage becomes rocky and she begins to secretly eye her ex-beau, Charlie (Alexander Skarsgård).  Tensions build resulting in violent conflicts.

Good! Now Alex has absolutely no reason NOT to break his very damaging ties with that blond piece of bad news.
