GenealogyBank.com releases African-American newspaper collection

African American Genealogy Examiner
This column previously discussed GenealogyBank.com’s amazing collection of online newspaper images in the article, “Historic newspapers online.”
The new collection of African-American owned and operated newspapers includes titles from 1827 through 1999, and covers much of the nation. Limited runs of a few of these titles—for example, the Washington [D. C.] Bee—are available online through the Library of Congress’s “Chronicling America” site, but the new digital editions benefit greatly from GenealogyBank’s user-friendly search function.
