On Monday, Whoopi Goldberg went on "The Wendy Williams Show" and attempted to bury a long, ugly history between herself and Wendy. While Wendy Williams is now a popular talk show host, she was once a radio personality who often attracted listeners by discussing the lives of celebrities.

In the past, Williams called Goldberg "ugly" and suggested the "Color Purple" star was on drugs. Williams also openly criticized Goldberg's daughter, suggesting she once used cocaine.
On Monday, Whoopi acknowledged that her daughter didn't agree with her mother's decision to go on Williams' show. During the interview, however, Wendy was emotional and cried while attempting to explain herself. Williams claimed that she had to be a "shock jock," essentially tearing people down in order to build up her own celebrity and status within the entertainment industry.
While Goldberg didn't fully agree, she tried to take the high road and understand Williams' position as best she could.

hi how are you my name is michael
that's why in that particular industry you have to be careful about who you speak about. It came back and bit weny in the butt.
Whoopi is the epitome of class, humility and compassion.
Funny thing is I have seen people like Joan Rivers in shows trash entertainers so bad using the foulest language you can imagine and then later I see them sitting next to her on a couch. Go Wendy! Don't let anyone compromise your opinion. Besides, does anyone really think Whoopie is not ugly? Truth sometimes hurts.
Hey Mike, Wendy is just as ugly as Whoopi, so the pot shouldn't call the kettle black!
Wendy's behavior was horrible!! and I was just starting to like her show a little. besides, Wendy has her nerve talking about Whoopi, how many Mrs. Universe's, Mrs. America's etc. died and let her think she is the best thing on earth??? Seriously! She's totally a "Rupaul"...she's a giant!! and those damn snow boots really do not compliment I dont care how many large/oversized assecsaries she wears...ie. big hair, ring, shoes, layers of lashes(by the way make her look like the new " california cow"). As you can tell, I am furious. I must admit at one point I thought Whoopi was very UGLY @ least hard 2 look @. But now that I've had a chance to see her personality and character she's beautiful...I cant even see what i "shallowly" saw before. She handled the situation with class. as for wendy, she was soo nervous and scared that she was going to be outed..bet she was glad that segment was over. FLAKE!!!
Okay Mike. How can you call Whoopie ugly when she looks like so many of us? I'm sure you'll have a put down for me but c'mon, there's enough of them out there already calling us names. We're must stop the self-loathing behavior and embrace our looks, culture and each other. Peace.
hi wendy my name is sovaki HOW YOU DOING!!! LOL!!! i am 11 years old and i luv to watch your show everyday my mom luvs to watch your show too!!! number 1 fan LUV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you rock!!!
MIKE YOU ARE SO UGLY TOO HOW ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!
Wendy didn't HAVE to be a shock jock. That was a decision she made, as it was for each person she's gossiped about and tore down. Wendy's a freaking parasite - a total nobody and nothing (except for her three massively huge implants: one in her now-mannish chin and those two beach balls). She made a living by invading the private lives of other people who are far more talented and interesting than she is, and she made up stuff when it suited her - all for her ratings, not for truth or anything else.
She HAD to do it? No.
And Whoopi is ugly? Spreading rumors is uglier. So is that heinous fake chin. At least Whoopi is comfortable in her own skin. That's the difference between having talent and being a phony.
