Mariah Carey drops bombshell about abusive past on

Mariah Carey was on "Larry King Live" on Wednesday and dropped a bombshell when discussing the troubled relationship between singers Rihanna and Chris Brown--Mariah Carey herself had once been abused.
"You've been emotionally abused?" King asked.
"Emotionally, mentally..." Mariah replied.
When King asked Mariah about escaping the abusive relationship, the pop diva replied that it's harder than one might think.
"For me, to really get out it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing where the person was in control of my life," Carey added.
While Carey didn't name names, many are assuming that she's speaking of former husband and music executive Tommy Mottola. Carey is currently married to Nick Cannon
