Boris Kodjoe is headed back to television, as the former "Soul Food" star will headline a new spy drama called “Undercovers.” Co-starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and created by J.J. Abrams ("Lost" and "Alias"), the "Undercovers" becomes the first scripted series to get picked up for the 2010-2011 season.

“We have tremendous confidence in this promising series and feel this is a great way to kick off our upcoming upfront development announcements,” said Jeff Gaspin, chairman of NBC Universal Television Entertainment, in a statement. “J.J. has delivered another signature series, along with our partners at Warner Bros., and we couldn’t be happier.”
The show sounds like it will have a "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" vibe to it, as Kodjoe and Mbatha-Raw will portray married ex-CIA agents who get lured back into the business after a fellow spy and friend goes missing.
