As the girls are narrowed down on American Idol, their song choices, along with America’s votes, are moving toward the folksy and indy music genres. Their fashion, as well, continues in this direction, making Seattle folks who love Idol feel more confident in their own wardrobes. Seattle’s cool and quirky laid-back style is moving to the forefront on national television.

Siobhan Magnus
Once again, Siobhan belted out her tunes with all the bravado of a seasoned diva, and her cool fashion-forward wardrobe didn’t fit her voice. With straps, a forgiving stretchy fit, and cotton blend, the Shamrock Dress ($49.99) is more versatile but still fun with a flounced tier. For a more daring cocktail version, try the strapless high sheen dress ($22.80) from Forever 21. Remember that Forever 21 is not always accurate on sizing, so it’s recommended you pop into Westfield Mall in Southcenter and try it on! To cover up, top either dress with the beautiful chiffon tiered cardigan ($24.80) Siobhan’s shoes had a retro feel. Check out the Shelly-18 by Yoki ($19.97), an adorable double-strap Mary Jane that goes with anything.
Katelyn Epperly
Katelyn sang a classic Carole King song and was dressed all in cotton. Her necklace was the highlight, and the Swooping Swallow necklace ($11.99) is a close match for a great price. Her suspender skirt is a great buy for the coming summer. Check out these two amazing options. The linen suspender skirt in sage at Urban Outfitters ($58) is a really close match. The second is the Betty Hi-Waist Jumper ($34) from Sophistix.net.
Lacey Brown
As it turns out, Lacey’s voice has as many layers as her wardrobe! Send some love to her neon tank, shiny vest, and animal print cardigan. Fall in love even more with this cheetah-print lace pocket cardigan ($28) over this versatile black vest ($24). Wear over a yellow ribbed tank ($3.90) from Forever 21 with coordinating bright yellow pumps ($16.80) and your favorite skinny jeans.
Lilly Scott
As usual, Lilly Scott was her relaxed quirky self in a country-style dress and laced booties. This ruffled tank dress in blue ($33.40) is an adorable way to channel her chilled-out style. Pair this dress simply with a peep-toe bootie in chestnut ($18.80) that’ll take you into the summer months.
Didi Benami
Didi’s pink one-sleeve dress wasn’t quite right. The long sleeve didn’t work while she was playing guitar, and looked a bit awkward. The tall boots looked like an attempt to be sexy. If Didi was, indeed, going for sexy, she should have tried these options for an improved look; a pink one-shoulder tank dress ($32.30) with a pair of peep-toe black booties ($17.80).
Note: For anyone who was hoping to find Siobhan’s exact dress from last week, it’s only $22.80 from Forever 21!
