Alex Griffith was adopted from Krasnoyarsk Russia at 11 months of age. He is now a compassionate, loving 16 year old who has made it a mission to give back to the community and hospital in Russia that gave him a chance to survive so that he could find his forever family. Alex has helped to raise money and volunteers to build a new playground to replace the one that was severely deteriorated.
CNN has recently honored him as a CNN hero. His entire journey has been documented at KrasPlayground.org and is truly inspirational.

That made me cry! It did break my heart when I saw first hand how dilapitated the playgrounds are where we adopted the boys in Russsia.
