Author, consultant, educator, counselor, and transformative mediator, Grace E. Reed has been working with addiction issues for over 30 years. She has a MA in conflict resolution and BA in drama therapy that she combined to do her creative expression research which produced two books (Negotiating Dramatic Events and Needs). Her third book ‘Negotiating Shadows’ will be coming out at the end of the year (2010) which includes a documentary on the street addict and their process. She works with gangs, addicts in the juvenile justice system, the homeless, elders and prison reentry. She applies a holistic approach to solutions for the addict, their families, and communities in Portland.
