Michael Jackson was in mid-rehearsal for his London tour and concert at London's O2 Arena, but then he died on June 25, 2009 before his July 13th performance could happen.
Just by coincidence Madonna was set to perform as well, and she will pay tribute to her late friend, Michael, from the stage he was to performo on this summer.
The Material Girl will debut a special song and dance to honor Jackson. On Friday, rehearsal photos were posted online of the tribute sequence, which features Madonna flanked by a Jackson lookalike wearing his signature white glove.
Madonna is an American recording artist, actress and entrepreneur. She made a series of hit singles and also became an actress, best known for her lead role as Eva, in Evita (1996).
Madonna is ranked by the Recording Industry Association of America as the best-selling female rock artist of the twentieth century.
In regard to her friend, Michael Jackson dying, Madonna said:
I can't stop crying over the sad news. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family...God bless."

would like to know more abut the mj impersonator
I'd like to know too. I know the same day or maybe day after Michael's death agents were writing me and other talent asking for every Michael Jackson lookalike that we knew of. I don't know what the result(s) were.
Here's my tribute to Michael Jackson.... If I had the money to go to London and was privileged enough to be holding one of MJ's concert tickets in my hand, I wouldn't want to part with it; showing my deepest respect would be to not ask for a refund. Rather, keep the money for the costs of the dancers and all their hard work, Michael Jackson's debts and for all of the people (and props) needed to fund these concerts. That would be the best memorial I could give Michael and his loved ones.... if I were blessed to have a London concert ticket in my hand. Though he did some things in his adult life that can only be understood through his eyes (and his were those of a magical child) He was never a "normal" adult - rather, he was a fantastic creature of God - "child"! of God -who astounded the world with his driven talent and gifts. I'm a single mom of a beautiful 7 yr old girl who thought that 50 was old until now. Love u MJ, no need to hide in heaven. See u r loved! Karen & Samantha
