Jackson Rathbone - Twilight: New Moon's Jasper Hale

Although born in Singapore, Jackson Rathbone is an American actor and singer. He is perhaps best known for his role as Jasper Hale in the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novel Twilight and its sagas.

Rathbone started out in local theatre in Midland, Texas with the youth actors program "The Pickwick Players," initially doing musical theatre. For his junior and senior years of high school, Rathbone attended the Interlochen Arts Academy, a private school for the arts in Michigan, where he majored in acting.

After graduation, he had planned to go to the Royal Scottish Academy, but went instead to Los Angeles to experiment with the big screen.

While in Los Angeles for a short time, Rathbone was cast in Disney 411, where he interviewed up-and-coming personalities like Hilary Duff and the sister duo Aly & AJ. He has also had guest roles on The O.C. and Close to Home.

Jackson Rathbone's band is 100 Monkeys.  Most of his Twilight cast members attended one of his concerts.

Rathbone's movie roles include Molding Clay, Pray for Morning, and Travis and Henry. In 2008, he played Jasper Hale in the movie Twilight, based on the best-selling novel by Stephenie Meyer.  He will also be playing the role of Sokka in The Last Airbender, a 2010 film based on the animated series.

ABC's Beautiful People was an American drama television series about a family that moves from New Mexico to The Big Apple to make a fresh start on their lives.  Rathbone was one of the cast members, Nicholas Fiske.

In 2009, Rathbone played Jeremy in S. Darko. In addition to that role, he also played a serial killer with a multi-personality disorder on the show, Criminal Minds.  Jackson will reprise his role as Jasper Hale in 2009's sequel to Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse (2010) along with New Moon's Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene...

Rathbone will be starring in the upcoming documentary movie, based on the book of the same name, Lords of Chaos, as Varg Vikernes, a notorious Norwegian Black Metal musician.
