Another cut made late in the game to the primetime lineup. ABC has effectively cancelled its darkly whimsical show, Eastwick, starring Rebecca Romijn. The show while well done production and cast-wise was a casualty of low ratings. ABC will air the remainder of the 13 episodes that were originally slated and then Eastwick will magically disappear from the airwaves.
The move proves unfortunate for another cast member, Lindsay Price, who portrays Joanna Frankel on Eastwick. Last year she was a member of another Sex and the City-like cast on Lipstick Jungle. The show starred Brooke Shields was cancelled after two seasons on NBC.

In other news, The Forgotten, ABC’s drama about a group of volunteers who gives names to John and Jane Does killed in the New York area has gotten new life. ABC has ordered five more episodes of the Christian Slater drama. It’s sweet success for Slater, since his last endeavor, NBC’s My Own Worst Enemy was cancelled after airing only 9 episodes. Here’s hoping more luck to Mr. Slater!

ABC always seems to cancel shows so quickly. I loved Eastwick, Life on Mars, Dirty Sexy Money and Pushing Daisies. I hate to even watch an ABC show because why bother? It will just get cancelled anyway.

I really like this show!!! In fact, the whole Wednesday night line up is fun (Modern Family, Cougartown, Eastwick). What a bummer! I don't watch a lot of television, but Eastwick was one of the few shows I would make time for.
ABC sucks big time ... enough already ... finally a show I like to watch ....
We can't believe another great show cancelled -- we love Eastwick and agree that the whole line-up is so FUN! ABC execs need to listen to viewers -- leave Eastwick alone!!!

This is a fun, well done series. Its different, just like Pushing daisies was. I know, lets have another cop or Doctor show.
Yes why do the good, interesting shows get cancelled and just when you are getting into/understanding them...that's what happened to Men in Trees too...they always leave the viewer hanging!! Oh well just gives me another reason NOT to watch anything on abc!
Don't cancel Eastwick! This is one of the few original and fun shows on tv now! Good Lord, if I have to see previews for yet another new hospital drama or cop/lawyer drama I will be ill. Pushing Daisies was also another very original and fun shows that we enjoyed watching. Time to really listen to your viewers!

I forgot The Forgotten long ago, but watch Eastwick weekly. A very entertaining show, with an interesting cast.

I am so disappointed that Eastwick is being canceled! I don't watch a lot of television but this show is one I always made time for. The plot is creative and the cast great! All the storylines were so original - what would it take to get this back on and remove some of the monotony out there? Like another viewer noted, I would also buy the DVD if made available. Please reconsider and bring the show back - it was charming!!
I really really really love this show! They cannot cancel it! I mean, I am not even from the States but I found out about the show and was fascinated immediately!!

Oh, and in addition: Lindsay Price is amazing and I don't understand why people like "Sex and the City", I actually don't like it really much. But Lipstick Jungle, and particularly EASTWICK are amazing and creative shows that should NOT be cancelled...

THIS IS CRAZY!! EASTWICK IS INTERESTING, CHARMING, UNIQUE, AND A NICE CHANGE FROM ALL OF THE OTHER SAME BORING CRAP ON TV. EVERY WEEK I ANTICIPATE THE NEXT SHOW! DON'T CANCEL!! CHANGE THE TIME OR DAY IT SHOWS, BUT DON'T CANCEL!!!
RATS! ONE OF THE MOST FUN SHOWS! Must have been too expensive to have quality equity actors paid a living wage. It took a while to get their legs - and to have those of us who loved The Witches of Eastwick - to let us get over our comparisons. The last several episodes were very well done and I'd gotten into it completely. But I don't think I have a Neilsen's rating card in my TV either!
The decent shows get cut because there are too many people that think the drekky shows are worth watch. Network television is a fiasco. No decent show ever gets a chance to suceed. The fake reality shows and other drek out there in network land appeal to the lowest brain cells. Heaven forbid we have something truly entertaining! Oh well. Another good one bites the dust.
