Warner Bros. to seek out unknown talent for 'Project X'
'The Hangover' director Todd Phillips and producer Joel Silver are teaming up to produce a super secret comedy with the current working title of 'Project X'. The casting directors are conducting a national talent search for a cast of actors who have never appeared on the big screen before.
The film, which is backed by Warner Bros. will be directed by Nima Nourizadeh. Nourizadeh was hired over several up and coming directors because of his TV commercial reel and his take on the material for Project X. Nourizadeh has a new Adidas spot, Street Corner, in which Nourizadeh was able to get about 35 celerities who appeared to have been part of a big party.
The plot of the film is being kept under extremely tight wraps. The movie is such a huge secret that the actors who are picked to audition are only being given a few watermarked pages of the script. The production details are not even being included in several of the industry insider production reports.
The decision to hire a completely unknown cast is one of several reasons that the films budget is said to be a measly $12 million (for industry standards). Also using a director that does not comand high dollars is another factor. If the film is not a success, the studio does not lose a ton of money, but if the film is indeed a success, the studio could stand to make some serious profit.
To find this new unknown group of people to act in the film, casting directors are conducting a national open casting call. People 18 and over who are US citizens can upload an improvised audition video to be considered.

No it won't. There have been plenty of movies starring unknown actors. This movie will likely be no different from them, even if it's a huge hit.
Well for people who actually have talent and is considered marketable. It will not be the end. All tho you watch...This is not much of a spectators sport.
