Oscar winning producer Greg Shapiro's Kingsgate Films is currently in pre-production on the feature film "Detachment", and Chrystie Street Casting is seeking two girls ages 14 and 16 to star in the film. Greg Shapiro has produced such films as The Hurt Locker, the Harold & Kumar films, and the upcoming Johnny Depp film The Rum Diary. The casting call has gone out in both New York and Los Angeles.
Tony Kaye will be in the directors chair for the film. Kaye has directed the films American History X, and Black Water Transit starring Laurence Fishburne, Brittany Snow, Stephen Dorff, and Beverly D'Angelo.
In Detachment, the tragic modern state of the human condition is explored through the eyes of students and teachers at a failing high school. This film revolves around mature subject matter.

I sent in my head-shot and resume via e-mail and I was asked to tape an audition for Meredith. I e-mailed the video a couple of days ago and they haven't replied. Is that a bad thing?

when u send in the audition tape did they give u a script to read off or did u make a monologue

according to what I've seen online they give you a peice of the script to read. Have you submitted yet?
they gave me sides to read, parts of the script. I heard the day after and they gave me the sides to audition with.
