Celebrities are loosening their collars and taking off their ties this June for charity.
Career Gear, a nationwide nonprofit organization that assists disadvantaged men find and retain employment, is celebrating its tenth anniversary by hosting an online auction with donations from a number of notable men from film, television, music and sports.
Some of the celebrities who have donated neckties include Kevin Spacey, Josh Brolin, Tony Shalhoub, Neil Patrick Harris, Jack Nicholson and James Marsden. A full suit donated by professional hockey player and fashion enthusiast Sean Avery and a selection of ties from André "3000" Benjamin's clothing line, Benjamin Bixby will also be available in the auction. 100 percent of funds raised will go directly to Career Gear.
"We are so grateful that these inspirational men have donated their ties to Career Gear," says founder Gary Field. "As we enter our tenth year, in an economy that will surely find even more men in need of our services, we are thankful to have their support. The funds raised from the auction will go directly towards giving men a second chance to start their lives."
