Not being a fan, or the mother of a teen, I’ll admit my limited awareness when it comes to fashion accessories related to Twilight. Actually, until very recently, my knowledge went only as far as the abundant flair (virtual pin back buttons to the uninitiated) traded freely by Edward Cullen’s crew on Facebook.
Recently though, I was looking through a shoe-related newsfeed and ran across an article about some cleverly painted shoes crafted for specifically for Twilight’s diehard fans. It just seemed like a shame not to share them with you.
Digging a little deeper I found the shoes, primarily old school Converse Chuck Taylor high tops and other varied athletic shoes, are hand painted by a number of different artists. “There are a few of us that customize Converse Chucks, though similar, we all have our own unique style,” said English artist Sandira Reddy. “I also customize hoodies and wrist cuffs.”

Oh, I did write about decorating your own shoes not long ago, and quite frankly, I’m still not sure that’s a good idea unless you’re an artist like Reddy. If you are, rock on!
