examiNation: How do you feel about denying health benefits to illegal immigrants?

When I heard that Congress was trying to give free insurance coverage to "illegal" aliens,people who are not even suppose to be here, I was so angry. I am part of the working class people of America, born in this wonderful country and just recieved my insurance renewal package of the amount of $2,054.25 per month. It looks like it is better to be a criminal than a citizen. I think we need to fire everyone in congress that even considers such a thing. It is clear that they think more of a dollar than people or either they are totally out of touch with American people. For them to say they are there to help the people of this country is a lie. They are there to help everyone else and their own pocket.

I am a self-employed uninsured American citizen. I have asthma. It costs me $200 for meds every 2 months.I would like to know how others qualify for free prescriptions. Why are the employers of the illegal aliens not responsible for their medical care?

Ever walked into your county hospital emergency room? Do and you'll realize illegal aliens already get "universal" health care. You'll also notice most are obese, have more children than they can or are willing to care for, and have no desire to speak English. This is what happens when you allow people to break the law without fear of punishment and further encourage them with free food, shelter and hospital services; They get fat, lazy and breed like cockroaches.

My comment (8:11) is not opinion. To disagree is to remain ignorant to the facts. If you are not even willing to accept the truth, how can you be part of the solution. I don't make this stuff up. I issue benefits every day. It's my job to know policy. If I don't know policy, I lose my job and my unique perspective.

They obviously made the Medicaid/Medicare system so complicated that the average person doesn't believe what I am saying. I am telling you that I have been working with Medicaid/Medicare almost 10 years. People who immigrate as refugees get free healthcare, housing,foodstamps. People who immigrate as seniors get free healthcare, housing, foodstamps. People under 65 who have to stop working due to disability (a 3-10 yr fight with Social Security unless English is a second language)seldom qualify for any medical because they are over income, (more than 851.00 per month) They can only find sporadic housing assist and are only eligible for about 65.00 in foodstamps. Again I ask: Should we re-examine our priorities?

If as a nation we want to give all children healthcare, why do we give full Medicaid coverage to 65 y/o Russian/Ukrainian immigrants? They are retiring here in droves because as soon as they arrive and tell us that they have no income, we give them housing, food stamps and major medical, dental, vision and prescriptions. They may have businesses, pensions, bank accounts, or other resources, but as a caseworker in this field, I have no way to verify any of it. It's no wonder they come to the US to retire but what about the crappy benefits our veterans get? What about the minimal coverage Medicare provides to our poor blue collar retirees? What about the children who have no coverage at all? Should we re-examine our priorities?

If she wins the office of President she will have Congress on their knees. They will give her just about anything she wants. They will be taxing us until our pay checks turn blue and moving money around like there's no tomorrow. Why do you think they call it "Universal Healthcare"? Universal means it's all-inclusive. The billions of Medicaid dollars are already in place-all she has to do is mandate that the States cover illegals and they will be included. We're already giving full Medicaid to legal immigrants and Refugees as soon as their feet hit the tarmac in the US or didn't you know? Citizens with work history in the US who receive more than 624.70 per month in disability from Social Security are not eligible for any medical program...but if you're from another a country you can retire here at 65 with full Medicaid which is major medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage. How hard will it be to include illegals in that mix.

If the american people that have no insurance can't get free medical assistance' then I can't see 2o million to 38 millon illegals getting free medical help either. Thanks

But at for some Americans at least we are real and nor afraid to bear our soul to true feelings, that is more than I can say for. Hey people....the majority of our politicians of both parties are afraid to deport illegals. After all, it could cost them votes. Our nation is failing worldwide in both strength and monetary matters. Even Canada has overtaken the dollar. If all our gold reserves were called in by the foreign powers that hold the notes, we would be bankrupt. So by not doing anything of substance to keep the illegals out, we are weeking our nation with each one that enters. By the middle of the next decade, we will be a second world nation. In retrospect, great illness is not the problem or issue. Getting slammed with too many immigrants at one time presented a problem with coping, also became pain staking to see the needs with no support from needed healthcare. Americans are not seen as a "push over", in fact they are viewed as the opposite, however when the influx occurred Americans reacted as a matter of self-preservation; normal reaction under such intense circumstance for even the strongest. America needed time to recover, regroup and plan the future regarding illegal immigrants. However, my country's leader and our founding forefathers believed in Genesis 18:14, Luke 1:37 and Jeremiah 32:27 to under gird their decisions for the future and by faith they prevailed and will do so with the illegal immigrants issue as well. Illegal immigration should not be condoned; the price of health care for Americans is too high now. The problem is, as a nurse, I would see illegal aliens come to the hospital in labor and doctors and nurses are trained not to turn away someone in need of healthcare, so we would provide services to them. It is the say in America with the homeless, they come to the hospital for healthcare, no insurance and doctors and nurses provide the care because it is needed. I struggled to raise my 3 kids and had to pay quite a bit of my salary for their helath care expenses. Now, I work in a hospital where I see dozens of pregnant, non-English speaking teenagers appear every day. They have their anchor babies, then claim that they are exempt from being deported. We are also being asked to get vaccinated for whooping cough, a disease that had long left our country until it was brought back in by illegal aliens who have gone through no health screenings to get here. I wonder what the illegal supporters would say if it was one of their kids who get sick next? Everyone keeps talking about high healthcare costs. How could one even consider adding more expense to this system?

All "rights" for illegal immigrants should be denied, except for those due process rights that would adjudicate their illegal status and send them back from whence they came. The same holds true for any of the FREE benefits that illegals fraudulently try to steal from American taxpayers.

The Government " Tax Payers " should NOT have to pay anything for Illegals. All expenses should fall on the employers that higher them. They should have to pay for there housing, education, medical and see that they ALL speak and understand English. If the Illegals become unemployed for ANY reason, the last employer should be totally resposable for them and there families till they get employment or return them to there home country. Any and all expenses the US Government encures should be billed back to the Illegals Country..Government..and if we are financially helping that Government with any aid of any kind it would stop untill they get there Illegal problems STOPPED. My darling mother, a senior, has to pay over $400.00 dollars every few months for her Blue Cross, Blue Shield. Now why in the world would we not care for our own citizens and help them with health care costs, but give illegal aliens FREE healthcare. My ancestors came legally, and had to be cleared at the gate for disease. They went to work without medical benefits and didn't think twice about it. They were glad to be here. During the industrial revolution the idea of medical coverage was carried into the forum by unionization. A long hard fight for legal immigrants and citizens in this country. Emergency care for a life threatening illness or accident... yes. That is humane. It's all about getting votes, sadly, and both political parties are guilty of looking the other way on illegal immigration.
