There is an EPA-approved product on the market which destroys MRSA and leaves a 24hr. residue-- google "Pure Bioscience" to find out more.

Students should have a good supply of soap and water and/or alcohol hand gel and be encouraged to use it. Students should cover wounds with dressing or band-aid and not share personal items.

MRSA is not a virus, and can be controlled through effective hygiene techniques. It is not life threatening for most people who get the infection. Let's not get HYSTERICAL and react to MRSA the way we reacted to HIV 10 years ago. Get the facts, do what you can to prevent infection, and when you suspect a lesion, get treatment.

Schools shoud be closed when there ia an outbreak of this virus. I also think the School System sould be more concerned about the total situation. The schools should have professionals come in and do a through cleaning. The children should be given assignments to do at home until this NASTY VIRUS disapates. Our children and grandchildren are at a high risk of death

I remember when I was a kid when the flu would breakout and hundreds of kids would be sick, school would close for several days and the school would be cleaned from top to bottom. It makes sense to do this with staph, since the more it is allowed to spread the stronger it becomes.
