Disgraced sprinter Marion Jones returned the five medals she won at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and accepted a two-year ban in a sport from which she has retired. Jones agreed to forfeit all results since Sept. 1, 2000, following her admission last week that she used performance-enhancing drugs. Her three golds and two bronzes were turned over to U.S. Olympic Committee and U.S. Anti-Doping Agency officials.

INFINEON RACEWAY LINES UP 2008 RACES

The 2008 schedule for Infineon Raceway in Sonoma has been finalized, with NASCAR, IRL and the NHRA highlighting the action. The Nextel Cup’s annual visit to wine country will be June 20-22 for the Toyota/Save Mart 350. The NHRA will provide the fastest action of the summer July 25-27 in the Fram Autolite Nationals. The IRL hits the twisty road course Aug. 22-24 for the Grand Prix of Sonoma.
