At approximately 10 p.m., a man walked into a motel in the 700 block of Airport Boulevard, asked for a room and then told the manager that “this [was] a stickup” and demanded cash. The unknown man tried unsuccessfully to grab the cash behind the counter and knocked the phone away from the manager before fleeing the scene.
The suspect, a black man in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build and short black hair, wearing a white shirt and red pants, was last seen running south on Airport Boulevard.
Forty-five minutes later, along the 400 block of Linden Avenue, a Hispanic man in his 30s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, in a long white shirt and blue jeans walked into a gas station and asked to purchase two packs of cigars. When the clerk opened the cash register, the suspect said he had a gun and took all the $10 and $20 bills from the register before fleeing west on Miller Avenue.
Anyone with information on either incident should contact the South San Francisco Police Department at (650) 877-8900.
