BALTIMORE (Map, News) - The Maryland Stadium Authority this afternoon fired its executive director, Alison Asti, one week after reaching a tentative resignation agreement that would have paid her $400,000.
Asti was fired in a 4-2 vote of the board, with chairman Frederick Puddester and members Otis Rolley, III, Richard Stewart, and Leonard Attman voting to remove her. Members Victoria Rosellini and Dennis Mather voted against, and board member Howard Stevens, Jr. was not present.
This week the state Attorney General’s office recommended a Department of Public Works review of Asti’s contract, which the attorney general claimed was invalid. That recommendation led to Thursday’s board meeting and Asti’s firing.
“We’re looking for a change in the organization,” said Puddester following the meeting.

Hey, what happened to the drunk driving charge against O'Malley's cabinet member, T. Eloise Foster? Has she gone to trial yet?

Leave Asti alone O'Malley. She sings in tune and she has a spine. Don't be jealous!
