Working Mother magazine names best companies

Regional (Map, News) - A handful of local companies have been named to Working Mother magazine’s list of 2007 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers.

Companies named to the list offer accommodations including telecommuting, flextime and compressed workweeks, and in many cases actively encourage employees to keep their working hours within reasonable bounds and set aside time for their families and personal lives.

Those named this year include San Jose’s Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO), South San Francisco’s Genentech Inc. (DNA), Santa Clara’s Intel Corp. (INTC), Palo Alto’s Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ) and San Francisco’s Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.
