In my opinion Mr. Bassin is professional evictor. Make search on his name at sftc.org. He will not hesitate to do dirty stuff. For example, he is also attorney for the landlord of elderly lady that was protected tenant and was evicted about the same time as you. He also handles probates, especially interesting is probate of George Applegate who passed away from heart attack or stroke just few months after making his will. What do you think?

After reading the Federal complaint, I don't understand what leg Jew thinks he possibly has to stand on. He all but pulled a gun on the Quickly people. At this point, his residency is the least of his problems; the Feds have an almost perfect conviction rate. As for the consultant, Robert Chan, keeping a low profile, yea, I'd keep a low profile too. He's named in the Federal complaint as Co-conspirator. Charges against him will probably be coming soon too, unless he cuts a deal where he finishes sinking Jew.

A lot of things will happen to Jew soon enough, but "being exonerated" won't be one of them. As far as "Newsom setting up Jew"...that's a joke, right? The neighbors are liars? The DA is lying? The City Attorney...liar. The FBI..just Gavin's personal stooges, right? Everyone is lying just to GET ED???? Let's be real. Ed Jew is a liar and a criminal folks. yellow fever is running high now. doesn't look like chinatown is behind him or the caucasian population. looks like everybody who once knew him, has scattered. I don't agree with the two who said that the next Chinese in office will have dirt be found on them. Look at Ma and Yee, both of whom are Chinese, and they were not that slimmy and sneaky as Ed Jew. I am a Chinese American, and also an Ed Jew's neighbor, and I know the truth about what is going on. We need honesty, and Jew has not given us one cent of honesty, even though he may think he is.

Oh, I'm sure they will dig up some legitimate dirt on the next Chinese that runs for office. It is absurd to say Ed Jew should get away with his federal offenses because he's "he's joined by a whole legion who got away with a lot more", as Wong states. Where a person's mail goes is irrelevant. There is no law that tells people where their mail should go. Thank God! My mother's mails come to my house because she suspected her mailman was stealing her social security check. In actuality, her mail went to the neighbor's house when the regular mailman went on leave for hernia operation. My sister's mails go to her office because her ex was signing her name on credit card solicitations. The mail of the former owner of my house still comes to my house even though the guy has been dead for 10 years. Is there a law that says your mail should go where?

I too am rather tired of politicos of color, be they Marion Barry, Clarence Thomas or Ed Jew, playing the race card out of desperation. Jew is especially problematic since he made openly racist appeals to voters (i.e., pull the lever for me, since I'm Chinese-American too!) during the election, which appear to have worked. The notion that he must be replaced by a Chinese-American is exceedingly racist - as another poster noted, his replacement should be the most qualified person for the job. I'm extremely gratified that Dennis Herrera has condemned Jew's attorney for playing the race card in this case and obfuscating the real issues at hand.

Well, that U.S. Congressman Jefferson, who is black, could too play the race factor in regards to the FBI probe, and also indictment against him for embezzling money and the other charges placed against him. Jew knows that he can not win because the money was found in his possessions just like U.S. Congressman Jefferson. Both him and Congressman Jefferson were caught redhanded, so like my parents say admit to what you have done wrong and it won't bite you in the butt in the future. The Sunset/Parkside is predominantly Chinese. The investigators were non-Chinese. The investigators ONLY interviewed Caucasian neighbors. I repeat this neighborhood is heavily Chinese populated. Sound fishy? I think so. Best case scenario, an incomplete investigation.

Why did it take 3 weeks to come up with a story! Flushing a toilet takes 5 gals of water and we are supposed to believe he never took a shower before dressing. If he wasn't a crony for Newsom he would be gone already.

I am very impressed that Robert Chan, the consultant, has not said anything regarding this whole situation. He has done a good job in staying out of this three ring circus (the U.S. Feds, S.F. District Attorney and State investigations) media frenzy.
