SAN FRANCISCO (Map, News) - Continuing San Francisco's escalating violence streak, a shooting on the streets of San Francisco’s Mission District injured two people shortly after midnight Friday morning, police reported.

At 12:03 a.m., an unidentified shooter fired on two victims from a vehicle in the 3400 block of 19th Street, police said. The victims, who were on the street when they were shot, were taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.

"It was kind of startling — everyone wanted to know what was going on,'' said Melissa Scott, a customer at Lexington Club, which is located near the site of the shooting. "But then it was just business as usual.''

No arrests have been made in the shooting, police reported.

I'm a Mission resident, and have been scouring the internets looking for information about ANOTHER shooting that took place in San Francisco at approximately 10pm Friday night (Sept 14). I know that this happened, because I walked right into the crime scene, the ambulance and the cordoned off intersection of 24th and York St. I think whoever it was that got shot died, but not one tv station or newspaper has reported this even though they reported the other two shootings that happened last night. What's that all about? Does this city not care about what goes down in the Mission?

Citizens cannot defend themselves from armed attack unless they can carry a weapon. City government has disarmed honest citizens who are at the mercy of criminals.
