Baltimore police seek teen's killer

Crime prevention starts at home. Too many kids without a positive male role model. Too many women having children too young. If this problem could be fixed the crime rate would drop dramatically. Is the answer to continue to build more and more jails? No the answer is to put the family back together. This is esp a problem in the African American community. Very sad indeed.

911 is anonymous, maybe even a reward. Turn em in and take back our streets.

I have to say that our city officials are partly to blame for this rise in homicide. they target one area and all the drug dealers and gang members do is find another quiet block like mine. they spend all this money on nonsense and steal the rest that is left. they need to offer ex-convicts some kind of job training , youth centers for kids. this problem is not going to go away by just getting the drug dealers off the street help the drug users because if there is no one to buy the drugs how are they going to sell them as long as you have drug users you are going to have drug dealers. kids joining gang because there parents on drugs and there robbing and killing to survive. you have to get to the root of the problem to solve it.

151 Homicides? Your Mayor/ Police Dept are not telling you the truth and the examiner should report the truth. There are 151 "INCIDENTS" involving homicide in the City. There area OVER 170 actual people dead! That makes the number look worse and that is why they won't tell you it. Would Ms. Dixon get elected if that came out? Politics, Politics, Politics. . .

Want some truth? The truth is that if 1/10 of those victims were middle class whites killed at Harborplace, there would be an effective plan to combat the violence overnight. But so long as the overwhelming majority of the victims are black, young, and have rap sheets, it'll be talk, talk, and more talk.

Dear "Universal Justice Activist" how can you expect a "smackdown" of corrupt cops when half the prosecutors in Baltimore are sleeping with cops??? The Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office is a corrupt office that does nothing against police corruption. It and police internal affairs botched the Jemini Jones case so badly it is hard to believe that it wasn't on purpose. Pat Jessamy only has one prosecutor assigned to police misconduct. In this city that is a joke. I have no hope that things will get better.

What good is prosecutions and longer sentences? Criminals have so many "rights" due to soft on crime politicians that they never serve much time. 70% of current murder suspects are still ON THE STREET!!! The only way to stop the violence is when the perpetrators know without a shadow of a doubt that they will be put to death for their crimes swiftly. No long appeals, no decades on death row. A 6 cent bullet in the head and a cheap cremation will do. For those opposed to the death penalty on the grounds that the "innocent" might be killed, how about we apply it only to repeat violent offenders? No chance they are innocent.

We have to stop blaming the police for the actions of street thugs. The police arent the ones pulling the trigger, seling drugs to kids, robbing tourists, etc etc. Its easier to point the finger and lay blame to the police then to identify the real problem. CRIMINALS HAVE TOO MANY RIGHTS ! VICTIMS are repeatedly victimized. This isnt a race issue at all. People of all colors are victims of a few. Lets hold those few accountable !

When was the last time the Baltimore City Police Department and Federal, State, and Local Law Engorcement Authorities conducted an operation "internal" Smackdown within the BC Police Department? Police like Priest and Judges conduct covert/stealthy/Subversive "illegal" operations from within these institutions. Why is it so hard for BC Police Officers, Judges, and Priest to be "taken down" by the Justice System in this country? Bad Boys Bad Boys what ya gun du when the citizens start ta cum fu ya? They should turn-in there badges, give hard-working people back there salaries/compensation packages/benefits and close up the Police business. What about "options?"
