Aberdeen police got a taste of Hollywood nightlife Wednesday when officers broke up a hotel party attended by cast and crew of a movie filming this month in Havre de Grace, authorities said.

Around 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, managers at the La Quinta Inn on West Bel Air Avenue called police to report that noise from a party was getting out of hand, said Det. Sgt. Kirk Bane of the Aberdeen Police Department.

The party was apparently connected to the filming of the movie “From Within,” being shot in Havre de Grace, he said, and Rumer Willis — the 18-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore — was one of the people in attendance.

“Most of the people in the room were involved in the movie somehow, either as crew or cast,” Bane said. “But I doubt anybody’s ever heard of most of the people who were there.”

Upon arrival, police arrested 31-year-old Christopher Henry on unspecified drug charges, Bane said. No one else was charged and the party was had mostly dispersed before police arrived, he said.

News of the arrest brought Hollywood gossips to Harford County: Sgt. Christina Presberry, a Harford Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, said she had fielded calls from Access Hollywood and NBC News Thursday about the disturbance.

Staff at the La Quinta had no comment.

While most of the people he had spoken to were interested in Willis, the room had been rented in Henry’s name, Bane said.

“From Within,” a thriller about a town wracked by mysterious suicides, has been filming in and around Havre de Grace because of the town’s non-commercialized nature, producer Chris Gibbin told The Examiner.

Willis is playing one of the characters in the movie, according to IMDB.com.
