The State Highway Administration will close the bridge on Monday for about one month while routine bridge repairs are made.
Motorists will be detoured about three miles in both directions along Cranberry Road, but local traffic to the mall and residential areas will be able to reach their destinations.
Drivers are asked to follow advanced warning signs and detours, and to practice a little patience while the work is under way.
PDI Sheetz Inc. of Linthicum was awarded a $89,000 contract to make the repairs, which should be completed by Aug. 24.
Anyone with questions or concerns should call the SHA's District 7 office at 301-624-8201 or toll-free at 800-635-5119.
