A school bus carrying about 30 children to McDonogh Day Camp reportedly collided with a Cadillac at about 8:30 this morning.
Six medic units responded to the scene. Nine children were taken to Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and four were taken to Northwest Hospital, fire officials said.
An adult female was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for observation.
Bus driver Jennifer Demos, who travels with her 2-year-old daughter Jocelyn in tow, was not injured.
"Jocelyn rides with me every day," Demos said. "She sits in a car seat, and she wasn't hurt."

I agree 100% with William Rappsilber. In today's world so many people are in such a hurry that they become irritated with drivers who are driving at the posted speed limit. They will tail-gate or zoom around you even of you are in the far right lane. There are also several two lane roads in my city where the posted speed limits are simply too high because the roads are narrow, in poor condition, and/or have drive-ways or housing development entry-ways off them. I become anxious whenever I slow down to pull into the entry-way of our development.

the driver of the dump truck was obviously not paying attention to the road or who was in front of him. when a vehickle is turning they tend to slow down and when that is done they usually put on the breaks. had the truck driver been watching he would have seen that and not had to swerve to miss the scooter. my 5 year old cousin was on that bus. her parents loved her very much she was special. i honestly if it were me that hit the bus dont think i could live with myself. not watching the road so he had to swerve a scooter to save that drivers life and intern he hit a bus load of kids. i couldt do knowing i took the lives of inocent kids, who had so much time left and hadt even started their lives. they were just babies. all i have left to say is there are to many people out there who think that its ok to drive and do other things that take your attention away from the road. lauren always slept on the way home, my family and i pray that she was asleep and died on impact and not in pain.

The Utah Tour Bus accident,4 years ago I drove for a Chater bus Line the same tour group Rein Teens Tours and the routes & paces this Tour bus travels are not bus saftey. We are taking about a 46 foot 10 feet wide bus on narrow winding road with no guard rails on either sides at times .there is 1 section of road on Hwy 9 thru Zion National Park thru Tunnel where the bus must travel on the cenetr of the road or tear the top off the bus.I see where Rein Tours elected to buy their own Buses to save on money and drives with no or little experience driving there roads.I may also add the chaperones on these Tours are busy on the phone or sleeping half the times and not doing their job . Thank you .

I live within a mile of where this accident happened. I also drive an older model pickup truck and tend to keep a speed limit of 55 mph if only to conserve fuel, but attend to the rule of driving in the far right lane. But this comes as no surprise to me that a vehicle driving the speed limit of 70mph or more in either lane was the cause of the accident as was possible driver negligence. This method of driving at or above the speed limit in both lanes is a standard rather than an isolated incident. I have had drivers' pass on the right using the shoulder of the road to maintain their speed of 70mph or better because of traffic congestion in both legal lanes. The issue is not safety at any speed but satisfying personal agendas at any speed, regardless of safety.
