Impaired drivers beware: The Howard County Police Department will be manning sobriety checkpoints this week.

Police will operate "saturation patrols" and checkpoints in undisclosed locations, officials said in a news release.

Officers will be looking for impaired drivers and other drivers who are not buckled up, as required by state law.

"This week’s checkpoint aims to identify and arrest as many violators as possible in an effort to
save lives across the county," police said in the announcement. "The police department reminds you to never drink and drive, use a designated driver and always
wear your seatbelt."
