The Board of Supervisors Rules Committee on Thursday sent a ballot measure to the full board for consideration that would require the appearance of the mayor once a month at a board meeting to answer questions.

The Board of Supervisors is expected to vote July 17 on whether to place the measure on the November ballot. It would need at least six votes to make it onto the ballot.
