M&T Bank Stadium became much more than the home of the Ravens over Memorial Day weekend. The stadium hosted the 2007 NCAA Division I, II, and III men's lacrosse championships, and a whopping 48,443 fans filled the stadium Monday afternoon to see Johns Hopkins capture its ninth national title with a 12-11 win over Duke. It was the seventh-largest crowd to attend any NCAA final, with the top six all being men's basketball games. Throughout the weekend, 66,221 fans attended the three championship games. On Sunday, Le Moyne defeated Mercyhurst, 6-5, for its third national title in Division II and Salisbury earned its seventh Division III title with a 15-9 win over SUNY-Cortland, which had defeated the Sea Gulls for the 2006 NCAA crown.
