SAN FRANCISCO (Map, News) - Gone are the days when Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson hid their romance from the world. The actress showed up at after-parties for the premieres of Owen’s new film, “The Wendell Baker Story,” in Dallas and L.A. At the latter event, the affectionate couple even kissed in public, according to Us magazine’s Web site.

Trouble in paradise for Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan spent the weekend on a romantic getaway in the Bahamas with her new beau, British personality Calum Best. After jetting in Friday, People reports, they attended a Janet Jackson concert, then hit an after-party at nightclub Aura, where they canoodled in a VIP area. The next day, they were spotted frolicking in the surf on Cove Beach.

But though the couple looked picture-perfect on Paradise Island, the “Georgia Rule” actress continues to be dogged by whispered allegations of bad behavior. The New York Daily News claims that last Monday morning, during La Linds’ wee-hours visit to nightclub Apt, an onlooker described the party girl as “barely able to speak.”

The paper goes on to claim that later that night, La Linds blasted British tabloid rumors that she was caught on tape using cocaine — allegedly declaring to a pal, “I’m not stupid enough to do it in front of cameras.” The so-called friend adds, “She also admitted that the only reason she went to rehab was to get people off her back.”

LiLo’s rep called the alleged remarks false and “hurtful.”

Lily Weight

Up-and-coming British singer Lily Allen admits she’s already feeling the pressure for women in the public eye to be stick-thin.

In a candid post on her MySpace page, the frank 22-year-old confesses, “I used to pride myself on being strong-minded and not being some stupid girl obsessed with the way I look. I felt like it didn’t matter if I was a bit chubby, ’cause I’m not a model, I’m a singer.”

But now, she says, “I’m afraid I am not strong and have fallen victim to the evil machine. I write to you in a sea of tears from my hotel bed in Seattle, I have spent the past hour researching gastric bypass surgery and laser liposuction.”

Lily, don’t let the evil machine get you down!

Knight Out

“Grey’s Anatomy” star T.R. Knight says his decision to come out as a gay man wouldn’t have happened if he had bowed to pressure from people around him.

When he told them he was considering coming out, the actor recalls to The Advocate, certain confidantes urged him “Don’t do it — don’t do it now.”

But one such instance actually helped crystallize his decision, T.R. says: “I just remember hearing my voice being calm and saying, ‘No, it’s going happen. It’s going to happen. I’m just letting you know.’”

After castmate Isaiah Washington used a homophobic slur (for which he has since apologized and attended a rehab program), T.R. says, “I could have retreated. But I’m definitely happy I made the decision.” Let’s hope he inspires others to do the same.

Kylie: No Homewrecker

Kylie Minogue is firing back at British tabloid reports that claimed she was sneaking around with a married man. When the Aussie songbird met up with film director Alexander Dahm in Chile, and was photographed dining with him, the U.K. media was quick to accuse them of having an affair.

But an indignant Kylie squelched the rumor, saying in a statement that the two were simply discussing a possible film venture.

“I have never been unfaithful to a partner and would find it immoral to be involved with a married man,” the plucky singer declared.

Even Dahm’s pregnant wife, Laura, jumps to Kylie’s defense, telling Britain’s Daily Mail, “I feel for Kylie — it must be awful to be portrayed as the other woman. They are just friends.”

Look, if the guy’s wife is on her side, it’s a pretty sure sign Kylie’s innocent.
