Sheryl Crow is starting a family. The rocker recently announced that she has adopted a son.
“Hey, everybody, I am so excited to share with you guys that I’ve adopted a little boy,” Sheryl told fans in a message on her Web site. “He was born two weeks ago.”
“His name is Wyatt (after my dad) Steven (after my little brother and Scooter) and we are enjoying some very private family time. Just wanted you to be the first to know.”
“She’s super-happy. … She’s just over the moon,” a Sheryl insider reportedly told Us magazine’s Web site.
Sources told Star magazine that the singer missed being a mother figure to the three children of her ex Lance Armstrong since their split last year and started exploring her options in terms of parenthood. (Sheryl has said that she is now seeing someone new, but does not want to name him.)
Congratulations to Sheryl and Wyatt! Can’t wait to see pix.
Johnny Depp has finally spoken out publicly about his daughter’s recent health scare. Lily-Rose, 7 (mom is French actress Vanessa Paradis, Johnny’s longtime lady love), was hospitalized two months ago for E. coli poisoning and remained critically ill for more than a week. Now the famously private actor is opening up about the terrifying experience.
“It gave us a great scare,” the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star admits to the U.K.’s Daily Mirror. “What got us through this wasn’t the strength of Vanessa or me, but our daughter and her incredible ability to make us feel OK even though she was very unwell. She was super-strong.”
“It was a very bumpy patch, but she has come through it beautifully and unscathed, and she is now as healthy as she always was. She is wonderful,” the proud family man gushes. “It was a reminder to us of how lucky we are to be able to breathe, walk, talk, think and surround ourselves with people we love.”
Who says Hollywood actors don’t know from family values?
In other unusually warm-and-fuzzy celebrity news, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo recently won over a neighbor who didn’t want them moving into his condo building — by helping save his life.
Acording to a report in the National Enquirer, the couple was at the elevator of their NYC digs when an elderly man got off, grabbed his chest and collapsed onto the floor.
Luckily, the neighbor, who reportedly suffers from angina, managed to let Nick know that his heart medication was in his apartment. The former boy-bander took the man’s keys and returned with the prescription. Meanwhile, Vanessa called 911. The do-gooder couple waited with their neighbor for paramedics to arrive.
And on a tangled-web-we-weave note, the very man who now calls Nick and Vanessa “my heroes” was originally against the high-profile pair getting a condo in the builing, thinking their supposed party lifestyle would be a nuisance. Ah, gotta love irony.
Just how out of touch with reality is Bobby Brown? The R&B bad boy claims that he’s on Osama bin Laden’s hit list — and that the terrorist leader has the hots for his ex-wife, songbird Whitney Houston.
“[Bin Laden] wanted to have me killed because he was in love with Whitney,” Bobby claims on a forthcoming ITV show, “24 Hours With … Bobby Brown.” “He wanted to marry Whitney and make her one of his wives.”
“I feared for my life,” the paranoid singer insists. “I’m still on my guard. The most wanted man in the world wants [me] dead.”
As of press time, bin Laden could not be reached for comment.

PLEEASE do some stuff on the economic crisis!!! The people need to know the truth....they dont want us to even think the corn will come up in Kansas if we dont mortgage our souls for the benefit of the wealthy investors. Its total scare tactics. AND who would be stupid enough to allow the people who broke the system to try and fix it??!! You may be the only publication on the planet that could save us from these crooks, bound with the end of our society as we know it and allow this unrepayable debt to occur. The essence of the exercise is to bring us to our knees so we will have to agree to join the 'One World Order' so that we may have some of our debt forgiven. The grand plan is working for them but means doom for us folks who pay the bills. Enquirer...please!!!

How can one contact Jennifer Aniston. My advice would be to have the children she wants now. Then look for a man as she is going to approach a relationship with hopes for children and many men will feel that that is the motivation for the relationship. I generally do not favor having children outside of marriage but in this case, Jennifer can support any future children and then take her time to meet a man with whom she would like to share her life and be a father to her children. Best of luck to Jen. Oyster (mother of four pearls of girls).

I'm very glad Paris isn't going to go to jail for long. She doesn't deserve the pinishment anyway. She didn't do anything wrong and if she did she would apologize and that would be that. She is so sweet and beautiful and cool. I can't wait to see her on tv again!

Sadly, Lindsay Lohan looks twice her age. If she understood that she will look 50 by the time she is 30, she might consider slowing down on her party life. She used to be so cute, it really makes me sad.

Unfortunately, in todays American 'pop culture' television, coming together doesn't mean what you think it means. TV execs want 'edgy' controversial hosts because the bottom line is viewers. The View has very high ratings because people tune in to see what ridiculous thing Rosie is going to say. I don't even think she really believes half of what she says. If you want balance what c-span...'yawn'

This wasn't even Jake and Reese...this was Jake and an assistant, whose name is apparently Valerie, and who kind of resembles Reese. She picked him up at Burbank airport on that Friday night (see Just Jared for pics) and they were driving back to the LA side of the hill.

No way! When will The View find an intelligent woman with values to fill Rosie's position? Smart intelligent remarks and discussions are missing, we don't need "smart ass" remarks. When will we start coming together to solve the problems? As a woman, I am sometimes embarrassed at who we have representing the female gender. Why does someone have to always be wrong? I am ready to see "people", not democrats or republicans, come together to solve the issues. Have we forgotten how to do that?
