Harford County (Map, News) - The Harford County Public Works Department’s Water and Sewer Division has begun its biannual flushing of the approximately 4,000 fire hydrants in the county. It will take place from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., authorities said, and the work should be done by mid-July.

“There may be a temporary discoloration of the water, changes in water pressure and temporary interruption of water service during this time period,” Water and Sewer Facilities Chief Edward Kimmel said. “We ask for the understanding of our customers and apologize for any inconveniences created by this necessary flushing process.”

For more information, contact the division at 410-612-1612
