Yes I want her here so we can insult her. For once, Bush had the correct impulse, or tendency, to make her visit into a kind of joke, because the nicest thing you can say about hereditary monarchs is that they are a joke.

Yes, I like the queen and remember her coronation. What I am appalled about is the disrespect people have for our country’s leaders

Queen Elizabeth II is a commanding figure, an ambassador to the world for all that is British. While she can't order she can stand as an example of discipline and service. The world needs more of that. Too many public figures behave like dogs and pirates and liars... I cheer for her dignity, humility and sense of duty. I think she must be one of the few people in the world who really does think before she speaks. And she has never gotten out of a car...underdressed.

Personally, I wish she were our head of state. The revolution was a terrible failure on the part of both the colonists and the Parliament. Would that we could have evolved the governmental systems of the UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand- more representative, more accountable. And all with an apolitical head of state. No wonder most world-wide polls routinely put them ahead of us as places people would like to live. I love my America, but I wish the revolution had never happened.

hey Queen, we got news for ya. We don't care about your royal blood in the states. We just care about money, which you have. That's probably the only reason you are getting any attention.

She seems like an anachronism of a bygone era. I have great respect for the woman, but don't really "get" much of the world's fascination with the "Royals." I won't be glued to the TV to catch news of her travels in the country, I can tell you that.
