Mr. Licht tries to imply that there are are no corrolaries between hip hop/rap and violence. His best evidence is a comparison to Ballroom dancing! Typically apologistic with nary an intelligent or useful thing to add. Hey at least I am not making excuses for scum, yet I must admit that neither am I adding anything usefule, as there is nothing useful to say for Team Hip Hop in the first place. To paraphrase and address Mr. Licht, "Leave attempts at intelligent discussion to those capable of it and stick to burger flipping."

There's an easy way to deal with this. Declare street gangs as terrorist organizations if 2 or more members have been convicted of a homicide. Make a law declearing membership in a known terrorist organization to be a felony with a minimum 10 years in prison. Lock them up in solitary confinement and ban visits by family menbers on the grounds of security. Expand the "implied consent" law to allow anyone in the company of a known terrorist/gang member to be stopped and searched at will. Allow all vehicles, cash, and other assets of convicted terrorist/gang members to be seized and auctioned off to provide restitution for victims and their families. Initiate a massive effort to ensure that gang members are imprisoned, isolated, deprived of cash/assets, and ostracized, to make joining a gang as unattractive as possible to young people. Gangs need young blood to perpetuate their criminal activities - cutting off the source will ensure that they are neutralized in a few year's time...

There are some crazy things going on and they just need to be stopped I hope the child feels better

John Lott's work has not been "discredited" by any academic group, unlike Michael Bellisiles "work". Those who attack Lott's work disagree with his methods, but they are just as valid as any method used by "researchers" with an anti-gun agenda. Both the CDC and the National Academy of Sciences were unable to prove ANY link between gun ownership, gun control laws and crime levels. This was after studying 20 years worth of "data" mostly compiled by researchers with an anti-gun rights agenda. While there are no reliable stats to show that more guns = less crime, there are even fewer reliable stats that show less guns = less crime. Since gun ownership does not affect crime levels, any law abiding citizen who wishes one, should be able to own and carry a firearm of choice, while felons will still be barred (of course that doesn't work since some politicians coddle the criminal demographic in pandering for votes (Maryland and Baltimore in particular))

Maybe shootings in parking garages used to be rare but you can't say that with a straight face any longer. Two shootings this month alone.

Why is the story of Darryl Strobe hidden? I can't fine it anywhere on this net, and he was killed by a drive by shooting on Saturday June 2, 2007. Is this being kept from the public?

They let her go but a few week later she was arrested for stealing a car and ran the car into someones home. This tells you what kind of girl she is. I dont understand the Police in Maryland they need some more traning.

Please cite one single statistic, fact, or study that shows more guns in urban areas reduce crime. I'm not talking about rural areas of Texas. Dallas and Houston sure as hell are dangerous. And don't cite John Lott, he has be dicredited by numberous groups, both pro and anti gun

I agree that she knows a little bit more than what she has told detectives. I have been following this story and this is just ridiculous. I mean are they asking where she was when she claimed to be missing. I mean what is going on. You men to tell me the suspect girlfriend is missing for 2 weeks and no one believes she know anything. what do u mean she has not been charged with anything she must know where Michael Francis is this makes no sense this man has been missing going on 2 weeks. were the clothes found in the car tested for DNA to see if it really is Michael Francis' blood??this girl was in the car when Michael was taken SHE MUST KNOW SOMETHING
