Rockville-based BAE System agreed to sell its Inertial Products to J.F. Lehman & Co. for $140 million.

The division supplies commercial and military customers with inertial sensors to control, guide and navigate airplanes, weapons systems, missiles, drones, and unmanned aerial vehicles, among other things.

The sale is expected to occur within 60 days and is part of the BAE’s vision to move away from component production in favor of systems development and integration.
